Homestay in Coorg scene is still mesmerizing

Homestay in Coorg is slowly becoming a very sought after accommodation option. More popularly called as the Scotland of India, Coorg is home to some of the most beautiful and picturesque coffee plantations and has some of the most exotic species of flora and fauna. A lot of people travel down to Coorg to spend their weekends or short breaks. Coorg has also of the best known spice gardens. The entire atmosphere of the place gives a very refreshing feeling to the visitors who are tired after seeing dust and pollution in the big cities. The entire district of Coorg is well known for its greenery and misty weather, but there are certain places which become more popular than others. One such place is Iruppu Falls. Coorg has many waterfalls; some are seasonal while some others re perennial. The gushing water amidst green forests makes it very picturesque. Although the waterfalls are not from great height, but the scene is still mesmerizing.

River Lakshmana Tirtha takes a 60 feet plunge amidst the green mountains to turn into these falls.That is why these falls are also known as Laksmana Falls. There are many other waterfalls the information can be easily obtained from the Homestay in Coorg. These falls are located in the Brahmagiri Range bordering the Wayanad district of Kerala. These Falls are very famous as a tourist spot but being close to a famous Shiva Temple it has also gained religious importance. A very popular Shiva Temple called the Rameshwar Temple is situated close to the falls. A lot of pilgrims come to visit the temple during Shivratri. A mythological story is also associated with this place. It is said that these fall were born from the arrow shot by Lord Ram’s brother Lakshman while they were searching for Goddess Sita.
