Places to visit in Goa boom
with crowd during the Christmas and New Year as a lot of people
especially travel to Goa during this festive season. Every beach and
every hotel, shack on the beach makes special New Year preparation.
Gala events are held with musical nights. Dancers , acrobats ,
Bollywood stars all come down to make these events all the more
happening and grand. These events during Christmas and New Year
usually give a combo package where they include the stay also.
Sometimes there is a debate whether the South Goa will receive more
crowds or more people will head to North Goa. Places to visit in Goa
are popular in both the areas. Goa gears up every year for its annual
December 31st extravaganza, where the North Goa will see
big, fat celebrations , with thumping beats , fireworks and scores of
tourists spilling on the streets.
The South on the other hand usually
has formal balls m and parties down south usually have live
performances and it is generally seen that the local crowd prefers to
party in South Goa. The streets of Goa right from Arambol in the
north to Morjim, Calangute and Bagha will see plethora of tourists
who will be dancing on the streets and partying to the tunes of the
DJ’s. Many Goans head to the beaches of the South Goa where many
luxury resorts are there which come alive during the New Year Eve
celebration. The party scene is quite different from that of North
Goa; it’s not that loud or electric. Another reason why the local
crowd prefers to go the South Goa beaches is that traffic increases
in late night hours and it become really difficult for the people to
go to Churches also. Prayers and mass is held after midnight in the
churches.
