Places to visit in Bangalore
cannot be done without visiting the very famous Nandi Hills. Some of
the spots worth visiting are Tip’s Drop, Tip’s Summer Palace and,
some temples. The State Horticulture Department maintains a garden
for the tourist. There is also a children’s playground. However it
is seen now that with the increase in the number of tourists to Nandi
Hills the problem of litter, noise, is increasing. The process of
degrading should be stopped. Most of the people drive down to the
hills in the early morning to have a lovely view of the sunset. A
number of food joints are available which serve both vegetarian and
non vegetarian food. Tipu's summer palace is also a famous place to
be spotted. He had built a fort and strengthen it further but then
later it served as Tipu’s summer rest House. It is not open to
general public.
A lot of sports activities are also
carried on there such as paragliding. It is a heaven for cycling and
biking. A lot of people cycle to these hills on the weekends. Apart
from Nandi Hills there are many more scenic spots in and around
Bangalore that offer the visitors a life time experience. There are
lots of trekking options available which the adventurous can take up
during the weekends. Like the hills of Ramgarh where the epic movie
Sholay was shot. These hills are rocky and its quite difficult some
times to trek. Places to visit near Bangalore sometimes become very
crowded due to increased traffic from Bangalore and Mysore on long
weekends and festivals. Being the IT hub Bangalore is home to
millions of tech savvy people who just love to venture out on
weekends and enjoy with their families and friends. A very distinct
advantage with Bangalore is that the city is very well connected.
